About the Role:
As an Apprentice Electrician, your role is primarily to support our Managers, Supervisors, Leading hands, and Electricians, with the implementation of electrical solutions. This includes installation, maintenance, testing and certification of electrical systems as a leader in integrated electrical solutions within sports lighting, sustainable energy, construction, and facility servicing sectors.
You'll maintain a strong focus and adherence to all CME / Industry safety procedures, policies, HSEQ management, standards, and guidelines. Completing trade school modules and tasks to gain an electrical qualification, while consistantly driving and holding true to the CME DNA with focus on the Core Values that align with our Vision to be the best company to work for, the best company to work with.
Job tasks and responsibilities:
• Work under the supervision of qualified Electricians
• Developing an understanding of interpreting drawings, technical documents, standards and specifications
• Successfully complete each year of trade school modules and any internal / external training modules
• Effectively liaise with Site Managers, Project Managers, Engineers, Sub-contractors, and CME personnel
• Develop a strong understanding and application of Electrical Wiring rules and regulations
• Capacity to identify fault and problem solve
• Support with stores, deliveries and general supportive duties when required
• Ensure accurate records are maintained with reporting on all activities through CME’s systems
• Liase / contact key personnel as directed and where required, including relaying of information to Supervisors and Managers
• Maintain attention to detail for job reporting and documentation
•Identifies and reports health, safety and environmental hazards and implements corrective actions

• Demonstrated work history + 2 references
• Computer literacy skills, including the ability to learn and use internal platforms and systems
• Able to work flexible hours and willing to travel for projects
• Well presented, with high attention to detail
• A Current Police Check no older than 3 months
• A DCSI clearance
• Willing to undergo a medical and/or random drug and alcohol testing
Licences Required:
• Low Voltage Rescue and CPR certification (to be renewed annually)
• Valid South Australian Drivers Licence
• White Card
• Working with Children Clearance (WWCC)
• Working with Vulnerable People Screening
• A current National Police Clearance (to be renewed annually)
Not required but an advantage:
• High level of technical/IT skills
• Working at heights
• High Risk Work Licence (LF/WP)
• Experience working within the construction industry
